The role played by the CFI office in Rome is ensured by the Association of Italian Industries, Internationalization Area, Viale Dell'Astronomia 30 - 00144 Roma (tel. 06 59031 fax 06 5912815 www.confindustria.it), led by Daniel Kraus.
Through the Rome office CFI keeps in contact with the Ministries and the Public Authorities. Specifically, constant and permanent relationships are established with the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ICE (National Institute for Foreign Trade), Assonime (Association of Italian Joint Stock Companies) and other Bodies.
To better fulfil the operating purposes, CFI keeps a constant and strict connection with all area departments of the Association of Italian Industries as well as the local Association Agencies and the Trade Associations.
The very reason why CFI decided to approach the European stage, consists in its becoming aware of the growing interdependent and competitive relationships among the various trade fair sectors in the different Countries.
Since 1993, CFI has availed itself of the Bruxelles office of “Confindustria” to get hold of the activities performed by EU within the trade fair universe.
Following strategic objectives have been detected and fulfilled:
- become acquainted with the EU activities;
- make CFI visible at EU Institutions;
- perform well-timed service for CFI associate members;
- contribute in making CFI visible at some current and potential contact points;
- ensure the Committee some special space inside the “Confindustria” delegation in Bruxelles;
- deliver various information about the international Fair System by actively participating in the section of Associations of Union des Foires International - UFI based in Paris.
